This charming chalet has beautiful views and comfortable living spaces. The large back deck, with dining tables, outdoor lounge chairs and a gas grill is up high and surrounded by trees, providing a treehouse-like feel! Huge windows, cafe lighting and a fire pit make for relaxing getaways. Located 6 miles from Brevard (15 minute drive) and 7 miles from entrance to Pisgah Forest. Dogs welcome! FREE activities including Biltmore, Rock Wall, Zipline, Whitewater Rafting, Trampoline Park, Snow Tubing and Axe Throwing.
Enjoy the view from the main level with its dramatic gable wall of windows overlooking the deck. Lots of natural light illuminates the open living area with its relaxing, comfortable seating. It connects to a dining area with a large farm table that seats 8 people. Behind the dining table is a small kitchen with two bar stools at the counter. Just behind the kitchen is the main bedroom with its king bed. Adjacent to the main bedroom is a bedroom with two twin beds. Next to the bedrooms is an updated, full-size bathroom with shower and tub.
The kitchen is stocked with plates and bowls for 6 to 8 guests. There is also cookware and utensils. Appliances include a refrigerator, gas range, dishwasher, microwave and a toaster. For your morning coffee choose between a Keurig, a French Press, and electric coffee maker. We also have a coffee grinder. Many guests have commented that they love the well-appointed kitchen.
Upstairs is a large open loft that with a queen-sized bed and a half bath. There are regular stairs up to the loft. Although the loft is open, the bed is set back and offers plenty of privacy. In the basement there is a great space to park bikes indoors when you're off the trails!
We have recently installed a large smart TV in the living area so you can stream your favorite shows. There is a set of speakers you can plug into your laptop or tablet. Washer and dryer are available in the basement.
Head outside and enjoy the fire pit located up in the center of the driveway. There is a small, shallow pond on the far side of the house with a second fire pit. PLEASE USE CAUTION AROUND THE POND, ESPECIALLY WITH SMALL CHILDREN. The house is on one acre, but it is not fenced in.
The Red Chalet is located 6 miles from downtown Brevard (~13 minute drive), 7 miles from the entrance to Pisgah National Forest (~15 minute drive) and 15 miles from Dupont State Forest (~25 minute drive).
Please note there is another house located close by and the houses share a driveway. This makes the Red Chalet a little less secluded than you might otherwise expect so please take this into account. Please respect the neighbors and keep quiet late night.
