Summary: We wanted to stay in a cute little cabin for our anniversary. We had two “has to have” - a hot tub and a fire pit. We were told the night before leaving at around 9-9:30 pm that the hot tub wasn’t working due to an “ongoing issue”. I did think it was messed up to wait the night before leaving to tell us, despite us booking several days prior. The host immediately tried to rectify sending us two more properties to pick from or we could cancel. They offered us to use the hot tub at a second location since we wanted to stay at the first cozy location (the second properties offered were bigger vacation homes). We thought this was great since the second location had a lake, a fire table, a pool table etc etc. it seemed so beautiful, and only about a 10 minutes drive from the original. When we checked into the second location offered, the host had sent us to an entirely different property not discussed, and not one of the “you can pick one of these”. It was weird of them to make the mistake. This one didn’t have a fire table or a fire pit. Nothing of the sort. Was completely different from the listing. But there was a hot tub. We made the most of what we had. But it definitely wasn’t what was offered. When I reached out to the host they were like “oh wow really?!” And then a follow up a bit later “oh this is the listing I SHOULD have sent you”
